The Hyatt Regency is holding a block of rooms for those attending. To ensure placement with fellow collectors, reservations must be received by the hotel by September 3, 2007. After that date you may still get a room, but it may not be with the other collectors. The hotel offers a special rate for those attending the show: $105 per night for each night. This rate applies to both single and double rooms and is about 1/2 half their normal rate. The Hyatt Regency Woodfield phone number is (847) 605-1234. Hyatt reservations can be reached at (800) 233-1234. Anyone who has reserved a room and has to cancel should call Don Pielin so he can put another collector in that room at the show rate. This can be done right up to the week of the show. If the Hyatt runs out of space, the AmeriSuites Hotel (across the parking lot from the Hyatt) in Schaumburg offers a comparable rate and will be able to accommodate those attending the show. The AmeriSuites' number is (847) 330-1060. Some people arrive for this show as early as Wednesday, but many come on Friday and stay through Sunday. There is a great deal of room socializing and trading, and OTS opens a hospitality suite late Saturday afternoon. The Hyatt has fine restaurants, pools, sauna, and exercise room, and is located across from Woodfield Shopping Mall. The hotel runs a shuttle to the mall throughout the day.
